Odd Problem After Code Push

  • Sep. 8th, 2006 at 9:22 AM
EDIT: Problem solved, thanks redwolf! ^_^V

So I've seen a couple of people ask about the annoying scrollbars, but that's not my problem.

After the code push last night, my layout suddenly turned a bit odd-looking. Nothing all that major, but annoying enough to make me write up this post and ask you good people about it (as I'm not quite sure how to make it go back to how it was).

I'm using the Cityscape Tokyo theme. I haven't done much to it, I've just fiddled with the CSS to make the colour scheme easier on the eyes (white on black =murder XD;).

Here is my problem (screenshot to save myself from awkward description rambling):

I don't have any screenshots from how it used to be, and yesh that screenshot is taken whilst scrolled a bit down. But obviously I want the black spaces that went missing back. It just looked better that way. Help? XD;

So.. someone in this community posted a link to the original CSS, I took that and just fiddled with the colours. That's why a lot of the original classes are in there and un-tampered with, etc XD; I'm a fiddler, not a CSS coder! :P

This should fix your gap between posts:

.asset {
border-top : 5px solid #000;
}

Depending on the thickness of the border you want to use, try changing border-top to border-bottom and see which one you prefer.

To remove the gap above your header, add this to your page-header2 attributes:

.page-header2 {
margin-top: 0;
}

I'm not an expert but am going to take a guess that you wouldn't have enough access to manually hack it in if you didn't have access to turn it on. So, that would be no.

I'd recommend checking the LJ FAQs, but I think you could buy two months of paid time, set your theme to Tokyo and it will stay that way when your paid time runs out.
S2 Style System: Paid or Plus account users who are using a public style that is not available to Basic Accounts, or Paid users who are using a custom S2 style can continue to use that style, but will not be able to edit it further than the options on the Custom Options page of the Journal Display area. Paid and Plus journals will also revert from the customised comment pages back to the system default pages.
