Line height in entries

  • Jul. 3rd, 2007 at 11:34 PM
I have been looking through the tags, but can't seem to find this. How can I change the line height in my entries so the lines are a bit closer together?

.post-asset .asset-body { line-height: xxx; }
Change the xxxs, where 1.4 was the default value. Percentages of the text size, em-values, and fixed values are all allowed.

Thank you. I see that this only works in IE, not in Firefox. I guess there is no way around that.

According to this, all browsers support line-height. What value did you use?

You are right :) it does work in both IE and Firefox. I just had to merge some code. So I set it now to

.post-asset .asset-body .comment-body {
font-size: 14px;
line-height: 1;
}

but for instance when I would put it to line-height 1,6 or 1,8 it doesn't seem to make much difference. Should I put it differently then?

These are all equivalent:
div { line-height: 1.2; font-size: 10pt } /* number */
div { line-height: 1.2em; font-size: 10pt } /* length */
div { line-height: 120%; font-size: 10pt } /* percentage */

You can experiment with settings here. Although, I think CSS only recognizes "." as a decimal separator, not ",".

That makes sense. Thank you so much for your help. I will experiment with it.
