CSS Guide

  • Jun. 19th, 2007 at 7:06 PM
Hi. I just kind of discovered Expressive. I am familiar with Flexible Squares and you can find a full stylesheet for it in here (scroll down to STYLESHEET and you'll see what I mean). Together with irinafan's CSS Guide I could find just everything and play with it to customize all I wanted. But trying to understand Expressive, I was wondering if there would be something similar for this style. I tried looking at the public layer source, but it all just isn't there. Class names are totally different than any other style. So I was wondering if there was someone on eljay who could provide something alike. It would help a lot of people like me who know something about S2 and CSS but not just everything.

Thanks in advance.

There's one nimoloth put together and linked to here, but I don't know if it's still current. irinafan's guide is great for that style, but Flexible Squares always uses the same stylesheet; there's no variability across themes.
Expressive has 225 themes, each driven by its own set of stylesheets. Since there are 30-some designers, not all of them use the same classes in the same combinations to achieve the same effect. That's why it's not in the layout code. And, every time I post a solution that I think should work "across the board", I find one theme that works a little differently (Piximix seems to have this problem a lot). There's a lot of good information here, and I don't mind answering specific questions, even over IM or e-mail.

Thank you! I'm going to check it all out right away. So I might be back with specific questions XP
