Table Borders - SOLVED

  • May. 29th, 2007 at 11:58 AM
Hello all

I've searched through the tags and can't find anything about this, if I have missed it I do apologise in advance!

I'm using the food picnic theme and since changing over to that theme from an old s1 theme the tables that members of my comm use for challenges are now borderless.

I'm *very very* new to css and I'm literally clueless as to what to do to fix it!

Any help would be much appreciated!

You can add this to the community's CSS:
table {
    border: 1px solid #000000;
}
and change the #000000 to whatever color you want.

I've applied that, it's great, thanks again

Just one more quick question if thats ok..

Is there any way I can add borders to each of the rows and collumns too?

Sorry to be a pain!

There's a lot of flexibility to borders in tables. Try something like this:
table {
    border-collapse: collapse;
    border: 1px solid #000000;
}
td {
    border: 1px solid #000000;
}
As before, you can change the "1px" or "#000000" to get the border color and width you want. Also, you can get a different style of border by changing border-collapse: collapse; to border-collapse: separate;.
