Trying to change the baldyman -- SOLVED

  • Apr. 27th, 2007 at 9:59 PM
Not sure how to tag this, but I'll give it a shot. :)

I'm trying to change this guy --> la_petite_singe to this: and use this: for communities on my flist. I used this tutorial and came up with the following code...

html span.ljuser{
background-image: url(http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/1677/heart2s2kr3.gif) !important;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: left middle;
padding: 0px 15px 15px 0px !important;
}
* html span.ljuser img{
visibility: hidden;
}

.ljuser img[src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif"] {
width: 0;
height: 0;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-image: url(http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5166/sunbyexcentricon0.gif) !important;
padding: 14px 12px 0 0 !important;
}

.ljuser img[src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif"] {
width:0;
height: 0;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-image: url(http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5166/sunbyexcentricon0.gif) !important;
padding: 14px 12px 0 0 !important;
}

.ljuser img[src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/sponcomm.gif"] {
width:0;
height: 0;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-image: url(http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5166/sunbyexcentricon0.gif) !important;
padding: 14px 12px 0 0 !important;
}

.ljuser img[src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/syndicated.gif"] {
width: 0;
height: 0;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-image: url(http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5166/sunbyexcentricon0.gif) !important;
padding: 14px 12px 0 0 !important;
}

.ljuser img[src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/newsinfo.gif"] {
width:0;
height: 0;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-image: url(http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5166/sunbyexcentricon0.gif) !important;
padding: 14px 12px 0 0 !important;
}

.ljuser img[src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/openid-profile.gif"] {
width:0;
height: 0;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-image: url(http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5166/sunbyexcentricon0.gif) !important;
padding: 14px 12px 0 0 !important;
}

You don't do anything wrong.

IE6 doesn't support advanced selectors, in this case the attribute selector. That's why you'll only see one type of image in your browser.

Attribute selector is the type of selector that you use to change the community icon.

You may want to consider upgrade to IE7, or use Firefox instead, I switched to Firefox because the menu is pretty much the same with IE and now I'm hooked

Thanks, I'll start linking to your tutorial instead of babyelefant's because it's easier to follow.

Huh? And all this time, I think mine is very confusing because it's too lengthy XDDD

Thank you.
