Alittle help would be nice

  • Jan. 9th, 2007 at 9:33 PM
Wondering if I could get a little help here. I've looked back through the posts and tags and when I do find something that's close to my question they aren't answered.

Any help would be great.

Okay here it goes.

1. I want to change the links on the bottom of each entry to images and to push them over to stop them from hugging the edge.

2. To change the background color of the Sticky post to the color I'm using for it's header without having to change colors in Alpha-inner

3. Some how to put the date on the subject line

4. And to push the subject text off the edge.

You can see what I mean at my test community. shanghai_d
Though it can only be done in CSS, I don't have a paid account.

  1. You're talking about making it look something like 3-Column and The Boxer, right?

  2. The sticky post body, unlike its header, doesn't have a div separate from the rest of the entries, therefore it can't be styled separately.

  3. I toyed with this a little bit last night, but the .datetime div isn't floated separately from the rest of the entry, so it may not be possible to shift it up and down like you want.

  4. Off the edge of what?
So, unfortunately, the stuff you want to do may not be possible with straight CSS. I could figure out how to modify the layout code to do some of them, but if you have only a Plus account, that's not going to help.

1. Yeah like 3-Column

2. I figured as much, but wasn't sure

3. I've gotten it to move, but it disappears under the header of the entries

4. I wanted to get the subject text off the edge of the entries, but I figured that out and got it working.
