I used Custom CSS to change the header image of my blog, but I found that the navigation strip is actually "blocking" part of the header image. When I added a "height" CSS tag to it, the header nav links as well as the blog title, etc. won't appear!

I made an image that was the same size as the original image that I intended to overlap and I'm currently using Expressive Endless Summer Brown.

Thank for any help!

Where do you want to move the text to?

Oh I just want it to appear in its normal position because when I added a height and width specifications to the header image, the header nav links, blog title and blog description (basically all the text that is supposed to be in the header area) disappears!

If I don't add any height/width tags, then the navigation strip at the top kind of cuts off part of the header image.

Thank you for your reply!

Apply height: 256px; to #header-inner{} instead of #header{}; the latter will grow to fit. The default position of the text block is:
header-content {
    margin:90px 20px 32px 20px;
}
but you can change the first number to move the block up or down and the last number to move it left or right. Also, to keep the "Memories" text from wrapping, add a width property to #header-text{}.
