Hello dear all,

:)

I need some help, if you don't mind. I have the Weston Brow theme, and what I'd like to do is to replace the header link with my own picture.
Is there a way to do it?

Yes, see this post. Make sure you put the location of your own image in in full, including http://.

That doesn't work.
It puts the image below the link, while I want to replace it, and it puts the line of the table above the image. looks all scrambled up.

Hmm. So you want to have an image and not the title and links text that are ususally there too?

If that's what you're looking to do (sorry if I'm getting confused again!) you would probably have to edit the code to stop it displaying the header info and links. I think you could do this by removing all of this:

"""<div id="header-photo">\n<div id="header-photo-inner"></div>\n</div>\n""";
"""<div id="header-text"><ul class="nav">\n""";

# Standard Journal Pages (Recent, Archive, Friends, Userinfo)
foreach var string v ($.views_order) {
var string url = $.view_url{$v};
var string text = lang_viewname($v);
var string class = "item";
if($v == $.view) {
$class = $class + " current";
}
if($v == $.views_order[0]) {
$class = $class + " first";
}

$class = " class=\"$class\"";

if ($text != "the past" and $text != "the befriended") {
print """<li$class><a href="$url">$text</a></li>""";
}

}

var Link memories_url = $.journal->get_link("memories");

# Memories
if($memories_url.url != "") {
println """<li class="item"><a href="$memories_url.url" title="$*text_view_memories">$*text_view_memories</a></li>""";
}

# Extra header links
"""<li class="item"><a href="http://pics.livejournal.com/nimoloth/">gallery</a></li>""" ;
"""<li class="item"><a href="http://pics.livejournal.com/manage/upload">upload image</a></li>""" ;
"""<li class="item"><a href="http://www.livejournal.com/update.bml">post</a></li>""" ;

# Menu end
"""
</ul>
<div id="header-name">""";
var string base_url = $.journal->base_url();
var string friends_url = $.view_url{"friends"};
if ($this isa FriendsPage) {
"""<a href="$friends_url"><span class="title">""" + $this->view_title() + """</span></a>""";
} else {
"""<a href="$base_url"><span class="title">$.global_title</span></a>""";
}
"""
</div>""";

if(not $this isa FriendsPage) {
"""
<div id="header-description"><span class="subtitle">$.global_subtitle</span></div>""";
}

"""
</div>

from the function function Page::lay_print_header_links() { }.

This should leave the header image as placed in the way I linked to initially with nothing on top.

I would just like to remove the huge link, leaving the friends/archive andthe rest in place.
Excuse my lamership, but where do I delete the code from? When I go into style, and try to change it, it only sends me to the help filoe, and never actuall shows nothing but:

layerinfo "type" = "user";
layerinfo "name" = "Auto-generated Customizations";
set text_edit_entry = "Редактировать";
set text_meta_music = "музыка";
set opt_tags = false;
set text_mem_add = "На память";
set text_meta_mood = "настроение";
set text_meta_location = "где я";
set opt_syndicate = false;
set page_recent_items = 13;
set page_friends_items = 30;
set text_edit_tags = "Тэги";
set text_view_memories = "Памятки";

You seem to have disappeared, but I'll reply anyway!

If you only want rid of the journal name, put this in the Custom CSS:

#header-name {display:none;}

If you also want rid of the journal subtitle, out this too:

#header-description {display:none;}

If that doesn't do what you want, let me know and I'll explain the S2 layer stuff you'll need.

I know it's been awhile, but I only just got to trying it.
What I'm getting is this: http://lion-of-rain.livejournal.com/
How can I move the links to be above, or below the image?
Oh, heck, let me just remove them altogether. I think I don't want them no more..

To move the links below the image, I think you could try one or both of something like:

#header-content-inner { position: relative; top: 70px; }

#header-text { position: relative; top: 70px; }

Those are the containers you need to move. The first holds all the header text, including the stuff that is now invisible, and the second holds only the links section. These commands should move the text below the image (although you may need to tweak the values to get it exact.

To get rid of them altogether, perhaps try:

#header-content-inner { display: none; }

#header-text { display: none; }

PS These go in Custom CSS, which can be found in Edit Journal Style - Custom Options.

PS Ignore the few extras I've added or modified to that code snippet. As long as you remove from the start to end of it.
