Stuff under icons on Friends list

Can anybody help me with this?

I had no problem whatsoever a while ago but latest LJ idiotic unwanted changes managed to create this problem for me.

It used to be only one layer of background picture, icon and text (username and community name or just the username) with my customized rose userheads underneath, now it looks like this pile of garbage.

Can you share your custom CSS so we can see what it's supposed to be doing? I have a hunch what went wrong here, but I need to check something.

Okay, without the entire CSS I can't properly replicate this to do any testing, but this should fix your problem.

The problem was that your CSS was applying the same rules to the entire userpic DIV and the smaller sections inside for the links, which had the result of displaying your background image behind the links in separate instances of that image. I don't know why this only recently broke for you because this should have displayed as broken from the beginning.

Almost, there's still the strip of color behind names.

I can't post the whole CSS because LJ's character limit won't let me.

You can see it in chrome after typing this

Starts with line 47

You've still got the section

Get rid of it. If that doesn't fix the problem, please post another screenshot too. Thanks.

the only thing deleting that did was changing the color of that strip from black to white

If you use the period shorthand then it matters where in the CSS you put it. Place it after the .user-icon section or rename it div.user-icon a and see if that changes anything.
