Images: hspace and vspace

  • Jan. 20th, 2011 at 11:34 AM
Hello, everyone!

I'm using a Mixit-based layout I found from one of the layout communities.

When I post inline images as in this entry, for example, I put in values for hspace and vspace in LJ's Insert Image wizard, and even double-check the HTML.  However, when I publish the post, it seems that the layout overrides the hspace and vspace values and displays the image flush with the text.

I hope someone can help me figure out where to fix it in the stylesheet, if it can be fixed there at all.  I'm on a Plus account, by the way.

Thanks for reading and for any help you can extend. :)

This line in your stylesheet is what is removing the margins:
* {margin: 0px; padding: 0px; }

I also saw this line in your stylesheet:
.asset-body img {hspace: 5px; vspace: 3px;}

"hspace" and "vspace" aren't valid CSS properties; they only work inline in HTML (they are also deprecated in favor of stylesheets). What you want is:

.asset-body img {margin: 3px 5px; }
