Few problems

  • Nov. 10th, 2010 at 3:44 AM
Hi, I could really use some help with the issues I’m having…
I used Expressive - Unstyled as a base
Please tell me how to…
1. Make the background completely transparent in the navigation menu right under the header image, where the friends and profile links are? Right now the background of #container-inner{} is covering it.
2. Add my own list of links to that menu?
3. Make an empty/transparent space in between the posts?
4. Make the space between the header image and the top of the screen disappear?
5. Remove "Share this!" (The recommended code below doesn’t work)
div.asset-meta ul.asset-meta-list{
border:0px solid red;
a[st_page=home]{
display:none;
}
}

current css

Thank you so much in advance.

Try some of this
1. & 3. together: Background Image

Move the background image from container-inner to ".post-asset" (you'll have to adjust widths (770px to 800px in several divs and classes); "width:770px" and "padding:0 15px" go into ".post-asset".

4. Deleting Space
Delete "top:70px;" in "#container".

2. Own Links
I am pretty sure, this isn't possible within the standard expressive; you will need special coding.
The only alternative solution I can think of is to create an own linklist under
http://www.livejournal.com/customize/options.bml?group=linkslist and - as you don't display the sidebar - adjust the
CSS accordingly. Do you understand what I am talking about? Do you have enough knowledge for this?

5 Remove "Share this!"
I have no idea - And would also really like an answer to that question. (*sighs*)
Does anybody have one???

Good luck to you!
Ana
