Sticky post with lj-cut

  • Aug. 11th, 2007 at 3:54 PM
Is it possible to make the sticky post with an lj-cut? My sticky post is a bit too long and I'd like to hide part of the text. Here's the link for you to take a look at. I'd like to keep maybe 2 lines or so and hide the rest. http://monacolady.livejournal.com/
Thanks.

I made a sticky post with just a link with words like "here are the rules..", link posted anywhere as a simple post. Also, I used that link to point to "Profile".

Why don't you just try it - I mean, type test with LJ-cut and set it as sticky post? That is, if your Journal Style allows sticky post.

No, <lj-cut> tags don't work with the sticky post because it's not a "proper" entry, it's just static text. Since this is in your personal journal and not a community, you can always make a post-dated entry to stay at the top of the page, which will support an lj-cut.

Thanks! I'll try to do it and will see how it works.
