Comments?

I'm having an issue with the comments page.  I know next to nothing about CSS or this style in particular, so if this is really simple and I'm only making myself look silly, sorry in advance!  Anyway - with a roleplaying journal I have (drderekshepherd), I'm using Expressive, and when there are so many comments, the entry itself and the comments and comment options begin to run off the margins.  I'm using a theme for paid accounts, if that helps any!

Can someone take a look at this and tell me what's going on?

Someone else was just having a similar problem. We fixed it by adding

#alpha-inner { overflow: visible; }

to the custom css. See if that works.

Hmm. I added that into the CSS, and I'm using three-column centered content, which made the content on the right look incredibly strange. Here's a screenshot. Sorry for the trouble!

That won't do at all, will it? This may have to be bounced over to the S2 designers, since I can't think of a css way to fix the problem that will work across browsers.

Although... hm. Try also putting

#alpha-inner { margin-right: 200px; }

or however many pixels wide your right-hand column is into the custom css. That /might/ fix it.

Well, that's got the right side (somewhat) fixed, anyway! Now the left side is in the content area, and the right side is further down the page. I tried adding the same bit of CSS in for the left column, but it put them both at the bottom of the content box. Here's a
screenshot
of how it looks without the #alpha-inner { margin-left: 200px; } but with the #alpha-inner { margin-right: 200px; }.

*sighs* Ack. Yeah, I'm afraid this one will have to go back to the design folks; I can't see any good way to fix this short of a total re-write of the css from the ground up, which I doubt you want to do! I'll get with the other mods about the problem.

Meh. Silly css. But thanks for the help anyway--at least you answered my original question. :-P Hope someone can work something out; I rather like this style!
