Entry Pageview: Scoot Header Down [SOLVED]

  • Oct. 2nd, 2009 at 12:30 AM
I've just switched to Expressive, and I have one minor problem.

When I view an individual entry, the entry's header is much closer to the #header than the top entry on the main LJ page and on the friends page.

Here is my LJ: Main Page | Individual Entry ... see how it jumps?

I'd like to scoot the header on the individual entry's page view down so its header matches the recent entries page.

I understand CSS fairly well. I just can't seem to find where to look up class names specific to the different pageviews.

The content is "pushed up" on the Entry Page view because you're hiding the previous/next links on those pages. Is that what you wanted, as well as a little extra padding in the entries?

OH! Of course.
I'd totally forgotten I'd hidden those links.
Yes -- I'd like to add a little extra padding at the top on the entry pages to match.

(I can fiddle with the height to get the two pages aligned, so don't worry about getting it exact, I just don't know where to stick the padding.)

I think you want something like this:
.lj-view-entry #alpha-inner { padding-top: 20px; }

Hurrah!
Solved. Have an internet, thank you!
