I had not changed my theme/layout for almost two years. I just changed from the expressive Fox-Mt. Fuji theme to the expressive Shiny theme, but I do not know how to "attach" my custom theme tweaks to it.

I have looked through the theme tagged entries, but they are mostly from 2006 & 2007, before the whole custom area was changed. I did remember to change , I just don't know how to get LJ to see it.

Help much appreciated. T.I.A.

[EDIT]:Solved!

Could you do it from the Custom CSS area: go to your profile, click on "Customize Style", and then "Custom CSS".

If you need to change layers, I believe you go to "Select Style" and then (just above choose page setup) "Developer Area".

DO you mean take everything I put in the custom theme and add it to the CSS box?

I don't know (I'm just learning this myself), but could it hurt to try? You could always delete it if it doesn't work.

The Advanced/"Developer Area" hasn't changed at all. You can create a new style or edit one of your existing styles to use your theme layer from here.

Ok..Thank you! That is the area I needed. There is, however, a new issue.

The code I have in CSS is no longer being used. Should I just add it to my theme layer so that it can been "seen"?

No, you shouldn't have to. You can attach to your current style the Auto-generated Customization layer that has the CSS you want.

Yay! That seemed to do the trick! Thank you again!

One last question (I think). Can I delete the Auto Generated layers that I am not using, just to cut down on confusion? there are about 4 listed.

Sure, although you might want to check your other styles based on Expressive just to make sure they're not in use.

*Edited to remove my last question..I think I figured it out! :)
