Header and text color help

  • Jul. 12th, 2009 at 2:47 PM
I've gone through the tags and tried a few of the examples and nothing seems to be working. I am using Expressive layout and my browser is FF3. I simply want to add a header and change the font color from the default darker blue to the blue in the navigation strip.I'd also like the entry field a little bit smaller in order for the sidebar to be a bit wider. My coding capabilities are limited to whatever I can cut and paste. I've tried a few things by reading the tutorials, but I nothing seems to be working.

The link to your header image isn't working because you used the wrong one. You need to use the "Direct" link.

What parts do you want to change the font color of?

everywhere the darker blue is.

I've manged to figure out pretty much everything I wanted. Thanks to reading either the tutorials or the comments.

Just one minor quibble. There seems to be a space between the header and navigation strip, making his head look cut off. Is there a way to close that gap so the header starts right at the orange border on the navigation strip?

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you-- I was out for most of the day and can't do effective layout troubleshooting on my laptop. Glad to see you figured out what to change.
You can close the margin with this:
#page-inner { padding-top: 0; }
