Solved: Header Image Size - Trim off the Top

  • Aug. 15th, 2008 at 11:24 AM
Ok, I'm playing with the hight of the header image in my Journal and Can't figure out how to get the hight change to come from the top rather than the bottom. I want to make some of the leaves at the top go away but keep the cityscape.

#header-inner {*
background-image: url(http://p-stat.livejournal.com/voxhtml/autumn-kyoto-midnight/header.jpg);
height: 200px;
}

Instinct tells me i need to do something with padding but right now my brain is going no further than that. I know sometimes I can't manage to do the easiest of things. /sigh/

The easiest thing would be to just alter and re-store the image itself. Make the image 200 px tall, if that's the size you want.

Actually, add this line after the background-image line:
background-position: bottom center;
