Background color of Comment Box

  • Aug. 4th, 2008 at 3:23 AM
How do I change the background color of the comment box to match that of my Quick Reply box?

Here is an example of the area I'm trying to change

I want to alter the beige area. On my regular comment box, the area is white. I'd like it to match the beige quick reply box in my picture.

There's a line in the stylesheet that looks like this:
.reply {background: #e3e0b9; width: 500px;}

it looks like it's supposed to be this:
.replyform {background: #e3e0b9; width: 500px;}

But, I'm never really sure when messing with styles other people have made.

hm, that doesn't seem to work either. it's okay, it's not a huge deal!

however, do you know how i can make the entry stretch the width of the browser? it doesn't do so in the entryview of some skinny entries.. like here: http://etomlef.livejournal.com/599884.html?mode=reply

forgive me for the strange questions. my layout is a total copy/paste job of different layouts and i barely know what i'm doing if i don't have a tutorial!

Sorry, I'm not sure what I was thinking. Try this code instead:
#qrform {background: yellow; width: 500px;}

I looked at that entry page, cranked my screen resolution way up, and it appears to go the whole width of the page. Does it look different on yours?
