Make sidebar wider?

-waves- Hullo, newcomer here. I know next to no CSS. Copying and pasting is about my limit.

I want to make my sidebar just slightly wider (by say, 10 to 20 pixels). I looked through previous entries, but they all want to make it smaller. And I've tried the codes there anyway, just changing the numbers, and they made the sidebar disappear completely. So... am I just doing something completely wrong?

Making the sidebar wider or narrow is no different; the instructions in my tutorial post still apply. Expressive is a fixed-width layout, which means that to expand the sidebar you'll have to either narrow the content column or expand the overall container width.
