Header image.

  • May. 8th, 2008 at 2:01 PM
I've put a custom header in my journal, but part of the original one is still there and goes across mine - any idea what I am missing to get this to go away? Its kind of pretty so I wouldn't mind just bumping it down to lie flat across the bottom of my own - any ideas on how to do either?

Thanks!

It's all covered in the tutorial.

That helps remove it, but what about just moving it down to align with the new background header image?

Remove the min-height from #header and add height: 300px; to #header-inner instead. Tweak the 300px as needed.

I don't currently have a #header-inner section. Would the code therefore end up being:

#header
.links-widget {
border-bottom: 1px solid #683c39;
#header-inner
height:300px;

for both those sections?

There's a line
#header-inner { background: transparent; }
right at the bottom of your CSS section. I'm saying you should change that to
#header-inner { height: 300px; }
Since the transparent part isn't actually doing anything. Then just remove the "min-height" line from here:
#header {
background-image: url(http://i26.tinypic.com/15q4vtg.jpg);
min-height:256px;
}
